We have written about our interests at school and at home. The children have worked so hard, their handwriting has been beautiful.  Maths&nbsp;  In maths we have been consolidating our knowledge of money, we opened the Team JF shop and bought lots of items, we started by paying with the correct amount and then we moved onto paying with &pound;1 and giving change. They were amazing at this, well done Team JF. They were amazing at this, well done Team JF.</div>  <h2 class="wsite-content-title">Art</h2>  <div class="paragraph">In art we looked at some of the photo's from our school trip to Cleethorpes to jog our memories. We then thought about what we enjoyed the most and started to draw this in lots of detail. The art work we produced was brilliant, we even won awards in assembly for our art work. Well done!</div>  <h2 class="wsite-content-title">PE</h2>  <div class="paragraph">This week in PE, we have worked really hard. We have been practicing for sports day on the 10th July. The children have had so much fun and have been brilliant at cheering our team members on. GO TEAM!</div>  <h2 class="wsite-content-title">Science</h2>  <div class="paragraph">In science we have been exploring where plants would grow best, the field or the nature reserve, after looking we decided the field was the best place. To begin with we walked along the sea front to spot as many different plants and animals as we could. From this, we went onto the beach to collect and observe the shells. To begin with, we practiced a variety of poses to take weight on our hands. These included; front support position, back support position and holding these poses. From this, we worked with a partner to complete partner sit ups and up and over together.&nbsp;<br /><br /><u><strong><font size="5">Art</font></strong></u><br /><br />This week we started our new topic of 'Life at the Seaside'. The children completed some amazing pieces of artwork in line with this theme. They chose a seaside image to sketch themselves. From this, we decided we loved exploring life under the sea and we would like to teach some of the younger children of CH too! We then started to look at features of non fiction texts and begin our skill building in preparation for our writing!&nbsp;<br /><br /><u><strong><font size="5">Science</font></strong></u><br /><br />We kicked off a new half term by focusing on our enquiry focus, observation over time.&nbsp; We worked in small groups to plant some cress seeds and place them in different positions and conditions around the classroom. We decided to test cress with water and sunlight, with sunlight but no water, with no light and water and finally, with no light or water. We have listened to the book numerous times and had the opportunity to discuss the themes, characters, and even take on the role of Jubb as part of a 'hot seating' task!<br /><br /><u><strong>Computing&nbsp;<br /><br /></strong></u>This week, the children started their new unit of learning. To begin with, we spoke about the app Scratch and the sprite. From this, we watched the tutorial of how to use the app and worked together as a whole on the main computer to navigate the app. We spoke of the different commands and how we could program the sprite to move and follow our commands. After lots of modelling, the children were given the freedom to explore the app for themselves.&nbsp;<br /><u></u><br /></div>]]></content:encoded></item></channel></rss>
