Awesome Arts Project

The news has spread that Park Street is passionate about the arts. Our Y6 pupils have been chosen to take part in a year long project funded by the Arts Council to explore the benefits of the arts in developing health and wellbeing. The Year 6s have been lucky enough to work with 2 visual artists and a dance/drama specialist. We are working on mood boards, lanterns and a performance to share at in a Bright Nights Procession in Barnsley this November. How cool is that!

In their curriculum art they have been developing drawing skills through exploring 3d form depth and shading through pyramids. As part of their work on natural disasters they have been planning and collecting resources to produce sculptures of a chosen natural disaster.
