During today's Arts Council we have made some exciting plans for Arts Week 2018. Mrs Longden is making arrangements for Peter Swidrak to bring an exhibition of portraits to school. Our Key Stage 1 children had the brilliant idea of setting up an art gallery. We thought it would be great for other year groups to do this too. As the World Cup is just around the corner we thought each class could chose a World Cup country and find out about an artist from their country. Members of the Arts Council are going to collect more ideas from their class mates. We might also ask Mrs Allen to plan in some dance, drama and music into this year's Interfaith and Philosophy Week. So watch this space for more brilliant ideas.

After thoroughly enjoying the performance by Kinetic Theatre as part of Science Week The Arts Council collected feedback from their classes. It was reported that the children and grown-ups in school thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The acting was really good and the action was fast paced. Of course we learnt lots about science too!
The Arts Council are currently talking to their classmates and collecting ideas for this year's Arts Week. |
