Team CH's Geography Learning

​This week in Geography Team CH were hooked into their learning with the use of ‘follow me’ cards. This gave all children the opportunity to work as a class to tap into their prior knowledge of the United Kingdom. After this we used Atlases to locate some of the 69 cities in the UK and presented these on a map. Once children had completed their map of the UK we introduced a campus and using the language north, east, south and west we moved from city to city. Finally, we found out way to Wombwell using a digital map and identified some landmarks that would help us find our way to school. Again, using the language north, east, south and west we directed each other to the different landmarks within the classroom.
