To help Rainbows understand chronology and the passing about time, they have been learning about dinosaurs and have had the opportunity to look at some real fossils! They know that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago, before people existed and that the world was a very different place. They know that the dinosaurs died out and became extinct. Rainbows know that now, people called palaeontologists dig up dinosaur bones and fossils and that helps us to understand what they looked like. This is called evidence and helps to build a picture of life a long time ago before people were alive and could record things. The vocabulary Rainbows focused on are; a long time ago, history, in the past, millions of years ago, extinct, evidence, palaeontologist. There are some more photos of us looking at fossils in the dinosaur provision blog post on Team CW's page.
