History Day in Team CW

Today has been our whole school history day.

We have been using words including "a long time ago", "in the past" and "history". We know that the year is 2024 and lots of people lived before us and lots of events happened too.

Today we dressed up as someone who is influential to us, don't we look amazing in the photos below! It was lovely to see that some children's influential person was a member of their family and that they wanted to have the same job and be just like them when they grow up! Some influential figures included characters from a story, a red arrows team member, a dancer, singer and performer, astronaut and a policeman. We created a time capsule that includes details about ourselves including our name, age, family and favourite toy. We also talked about our influential person and why they are important to us.

Our time capsule will be kept in school for future children to look at and talk about life at Park Street in the past. We will also have the opportunity to look in the capsules at the end of the year and discuss if anything has changed. This will help us understand chronology.
