In today’s numeracy lesson, we explored the relationship between 5 and 10, learning that 5 is half of 10 and 10 is double of 5. We practiced identifying multiples of 5 and 10 and counting in those multiples. To make it more fun, we played a game where the girls shouted "pinable" for multiples of 5, and the boys shouted for multiples of 10. This helped us figure out which numbers were multiples of both 5 and 10, like 10, 20, and 30, reinforcing the idea of common multiples.
