In Year 3 maths by working with three addends! We’ve been practicing how to make it easier to add by unitising and adjusting three-digit numbers. This means breaking the numbers into hundreds, tens, and ones, and making smart adjustments to simplify the addition. By using this strategy, we’ve become quicker and more confident in adding larger numbers and have developed a better understanding of place value.
Year two have been solving problems using multiples of 2, 5, and 10 to help us with multiplication and division. By using these multiples, we’ve been able to solve word problems more easily and understand how numbers fit together. It’s been fun building our confidence with these important times tables and using them to solve everyday problems.
