Team CW'S Maths Fun!

Over the past couple of weeks we have been learning about the numbers 3 and 4, and the Number Blocks have been helping us!

We have been learning to "subitise" which means we know how many objects are within a group without counting each one. We are picking up our speed with this and can recall up to three really fast!

We can show amounts to five on our fingers and can also show a number in different ways. We are learning to say how we made a number, such as "two and one more makes three."

We have learnt that number three is made up of "one and one and one" and we have been learning to describe different ways of making number four. You can see on some of the photos below that we have been copying number four patterns by the Number Blocks, and we have also been making number blocks during provision time.
