Shooting Stars Fine Motor Development

In the Shooting Stars' funky fingers tray, the children have enjoyed exploring pom-poms to develop our fine motor skills. The challenge was to pick up different sized pom-poms using tweezers- it was quite tricky, especially with the tiny ones! They moved them into dishes and there was lots of Mathematical opportunities too as they sorted them, counted them and talked about size and colour.
