Reception - Team CW This week we listened to I Am Enough by Grace Byers and A Little Light by Andrew Newman. We know we are all different, and that some things are tricky and take a long time to learn. We know that we are enough, even if we become upset if we can't do things the first time. We imagined we have a little light inside our tummy that helps us to shine bright and be our self and be happy. Sometimes that light needs some help to shine bright so we practised some breathing exercises to help reset our mind.

This Year we have embarked on a new PSHE journey with Educational Consultant Kelly Wood. Kelly is passionate about Mental health and the importance, in particular of teaching strategies for good mental health to children. Kelly has created a scheme for Primary school children that she has titled One Life. This scheme provides weekly focussed lessons to each year group. The main focus will be either mental, physical or social fitness. Kelly is also passionate about teaching oracy and so this is also a key component of her scheme. Oracy and mental health are areas that we at Park Street at also passionate about and so we have j0ined other schools in the ECM trust in using the One Life PSHE scheme for 24 to 25.
