During Anti- bullying week Team DB discussed how how kind words make us feel.
Teams LL and AF n team AF looked at cyber bullying and hate crime on the back of our learning at Crucial Crew. Team CW Did a circle time about time about times we have needed help and what someone has done to help us. They talked about who can help us in school and made Pudsey bear ears to wear when going to do an act of kindness to someone else in school.. They also practised giving out lots of compliments to people and celebrating our differences.

Team LL and AF had a brilliant day at Crucial Crew. Representatives from the emergency services and other services worked with the children to cover a range of really interesting topics and areas to help children learn about their responsibilities, the law and how to keep themselves safe. A really valuable day of learning. Topics covered.
- The danger of hoax calls - Importance of fire safety - Danger of arson - What a magistrate court is like and what children over 10 need to know when they reach 10 - The importance of road safety - The dangers of child criminal exploitation - The danger of knife and hate crimes Next week is Anti-Bullying Week 2021. The theme for the week is One kind word. and the week will be started off with Odd Sock Day on Monday 15th November, which is a celebration of difference, diversity and being yourself. So please remember to wear your odd socks on Monday 15th so you can share your good taste and show your support for the cause.
During the week each class in school will be taking part in activities to learn about different forms of bullying and the consequences of this. We hope that through the weeks activity it will help to remind everyone in the school community about the importance of words and how they make people feel. |
