One Life Half Term 3 Bouncing Back

This half term the focus of learning across school is bouncing back! This is the idea that it is important to build resilience and flexibility in our thinking as life can be challenging. It teaches children that our hearts must remain soft and then, when challenging things happen in our lives, we can choose how we respond with forgiveness and acceptance so that we don’t let it take over us and become us. We are teaching that we must not be frightened by life, just aware that challenges will come and we need tools to deal with it. We want children to know that they can cope with anything that life throws at them, even the really challenging things pass if we have the mental strength and flexibility to respond to them
