This half term we are learning about the response system.
That our brains want to protect us and keep us safe. Know that we must respond and not react. We all have a range and scale of emotions (e.g. happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, nervousness) that they might experience in different situations. Pupils should understand that worrying and feeling down are normal and affect everyone at different times and are not in themselves a sign of a mental health condition. Know that children’s brains are not fully developed until 25 years
