Spring Reading in Team AF

During the Spring term, Team AF have been continuing with the fantastic progress they have been making in their phonics. The class have been working hard to secure their recall of set 3 sounds and applying this in their early reading sessions. As part of story time, Team AF have been reading the Smeds and Smoos by Julia Donaldson. The reason this text was chosen was because of its great links in supporting the differentiation in phonics knowledge because it provided good examples of nonsense words similar to that which may appear in the phonics screening check.
