Wonderful World Book Day

What a lovely day it has been in and around school today! The children of Wombwell Park Street Primary School have absolutely loved participating in today's events. All children through school donned their best outfits to dress up in and celebrate a love of  books. In addition to this, children right through school had been participating in lots of different events linked to the days celebrations. Children in Team CB were busy getting crafty and creating their own World Book Day bookmarks. In Team LG, children were found out in the Library being a library detective as they completed a scavenger hunt through books. In Team AF, children wrote about who they had dressed up as and why they chose their character. Meanwhile, in Team JF, some of the children were completing author studies of their acclaimed author David Walliams. Throughout the course of the day, children from all classes partnered up with another group to share stories, linking with this year's World Book Day theme of "Share a Million Stories". They also enjoyed time at the end of the day where different adults entered into classes to share their favourite story with another class.
