Team CB Blog
The beautiful thing about learning is that it has no parameters. Everyone can teach someone something they did not know.
As our feet are now firmly settled back in Team CB, we have worked exceptionally hard to continue last weeks theme of being 'Evolutionary explorers'. In our Literacy, we have concluded our new bulletin broadcasts. We spent the latter part of the week rehearsing our scripts and then orally performed these. We even managed to record them using the Ipads, before using iMovie to edit and add news effects. The children loved showcasing their learning and the video footage was absolutely first class!
Meanwhile, in Maths we have concluded our work on division with the children now understanding and competently using the bus stop method to support them in solving division problems. What a fantastic achievement!
Elsewhere, this week we undertook a 'Mile Marathon' challenge in order to fund-raise for our upcoming trip to the Jorvik Centre. I must say, every member of the class was committed, enthusiastic and successful in their attempt! Well done Team CB!
Next week we are going to catapult ourselves back in time as we become Anglo Saxon journalists and try and capture the facts of an Anglo Saxon invasion on British soil as well as the opinions of people at the time. In Maths, we will be moving on to covering length, perimeter and area so once again there is plenty to keep us busy!
Thats all for now, check back soon!
