The beautiful thing about learning is that it has no parameters. Everyone can teach someone something they did not know.

During our first week back the children have been working incredibly hard as always!
In our maths this week we have been looking at rounding off our addition and subtraction unit. To complete this unit of work, we looked at subtracting across zeros and worded problems which relied on undertaking more than one step to solve the problem. The children's attitude for learning was exceptional and they were incredibly resilient and persevered wherever they met any challenge.
As part of our Literacy, we looked in more detail at some of the SPAG concepts that form part of the year four curriculum. We have worked hard all week on mastering fronted adverbials and subordinate clauses. We also took a look at how to form the present perfect tense.
Rounding off our first week back, we also got to grips with our new Science topic which is all about electricity. The children were keen to discover the different types of electricity that we have and showed great understanding of protons, neutrons and electrons!
Well done Evolutionary Astronauts, what a great start to the new half term!
