Team CB Blog
The beautiful thing about learning is that it has no parameters. Everyone can teach someone something they did not know.
Returning back from our break has seen Team CB enter the final term as the Evolutionary Astronauts. It has been a week full with the usual busy, broad and bustling buzz of learning!
As we returned from out break, we continued our Maths journey, this time taking a step into the realms of decimals. The class have been working exceptionally hard all week to understand the link between fractions and decimals. To help us we have been busy turning our tables into place value grids, using giant hundreds squares and digit cards. So far, I am incredibly proud of the knowledge the children have shown in their ability to reason and start to problem solve. These can be tricky skills to master but our team is doing a superb job!
Elsewhere in our learning, we have been busy totally immersing ourselves in our new topic for the term. This term, we have a Science focus and a great proportion of our learning centers all around Space and the Solar System. We have began to generate questions that we want to answer throughout our space journey; some questions include: 'What was the first animal in Space?' and 'How do astronauts survive in Space?'. We hope to be able to answer these soon.
Our Space theme has continued in our Literacy this week. We have taken on the challenge of researching Tim Peake's life to create a group biography. Each child in the group has been responsible for researching one element of Tim's life, before compiling this information in a high quality paragraph. Our books our now on display in the classroom should you want to take a peak!
So as you can see, once again we have been working our socks off and are already eager to know more about our new topic!
