Team CB Blog
The beautiful thing about learning is that it has no parameters. Everyone can teach someone something they did not know.
This week Team CB have proven that they appearing to be wizards in learning at any challenge that starts with an S.
First up is the challenge of Subtraction in Maths. This week we have been trying to get our head around how we subtract using the formal written method. The children have proven they have a clear understanding of this and were subtraction superstars! Next week we will look in more detail at subtraction and in particular, what happens when we subtract and exchanging is involved.
In Literacy we have met the challenge of 'Selling Spain' to UK tourists. We have been busy working on our independent piece of writing where the children have produced their own travel brochure to encourage people to visit the scorching sands of Spain. They are a delight to read! Next week we will continue linking our Literacy to our topic of Europe, when we create some poetry around European city scenes!
Meanwhile, we have also proven ourselves as sensational scientists this week in our States of Matter unit. We have created, conducted and concluded on our own science investigation into how temperature affects the evaporating process. Could you be more impressed with such outstanding learning this week? I know I couldn't!
Check back next week, where our States of Matter topic draws to a close as we investigate the water cycle as a whole and how this links to our Geography on Europe's mountain ranges and rivers!
