Team CB Blog
The beautiful thing about learning is that it has no parameters. Everyone can teach someone something they did not know.
You may have heard Michael Rosen's 'We're going on a bear hunt' children's book, however this week Team CB didn't go for a bear hunt but instead a multiplication hunt!
After working hard all week with our fluency in multiplication, it was the time to dip into some mathematical reasoning and problem solving, and what better way to do that than with a hunt! Hidden around the classroom were various multiplication problems that the class had to solve. It featured arithmetic style questions and worded problems. It was the job of the class to independently solve these problems in order to crack the code. Each correct answer saw the children receive a letter which they would eventually have to unscramble to crack the Christmas code.
Each and every student was thoroughly engaged, motivated and eager to learn. It was a joy to watch! Most importantly, every single child managed to crack the code and prove they were true masters of multiplication!
FAB WORK EVOLUTIONARY ASTRONAUTS!
Meanwhile, this week I could not be more proud of the class' attitude towards writing their Christmas diaries. The writing they have produced is of an exceptional standard and will truly be a lovely piece of writing to look back on in years to come!
In Science this week, we have been learning all about switches. We have created our own and tested whether the position of the switch influences the way the circuit operates. We are almost ready to begin making our torches so make sure you check for updates!
