This week the class have shown what wonderfully vivid imaginations they have. In our Literacy we have worked together to write our own stories based on our shared fairytale outline. The class inspired each other every step of the way, and I must say the content of their writing was wonderful to read. We have some true authors amongst us! SPOILER ALERT!!!
My favourite part of working alongside the class to write this story was their inventiveness, for instance, their villain was half pig and half moth. As part of the dilemma, our villain was caught in a perilous situation when he fell into the violent rapids of the river. Like this was not bad enough, the Sun began beating down intensely and caused the villain's delicate wings to catch fire before disintegrating entirely. As you may have guessed, Emyula came out as the hero of the story and the children's writing shows a true passion and desire to tell the story in the best way they knew how!
Meanwhile, in Maths we have continued our work around place value and spent time focusing on skills linked to rounding to the nearest 10/100 and 1000. The children used their skills to crack the code and save the day! Hurrah!
As our third week draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to express how truly proud I am of the transition Team CB have made and the great start they have had to their learning. Well done all!
