There are so many reasons to be proud of the Persevering Pioneers however, just one of those reasons is for their absolutely incredible attitude this week. This week has been our SATs week for Year 6 and the whole school has made an incredible effort to support our students by being incredibly quiet around school while tests are underway. I am so proud of how hard Team CB have worked to make sure that this can happen, So a huge well done from me!
Not only am I proud for this reason, but I continue to be proud of the class' fantastic approach to new learning, This week we have been exploring quadrilaterals. At the beginning of the week the class were honest in where they were in their learning and as a result the progress they have made has been nothing less than incredible. They have identified different types of polygons, both regular and irregular as well as using peg boards to create different quadrilaterals whilst identifying their properties. Like that wasn't enough, we have then used our knowledge of these properties of shape to compare and classify, through sorting shapes using Carroll and Venn diagrams. As we head into our final week of Summer 1, we will conclude with symmetry in shapes and patterns.
In our Literacy, this week we have been full of ideas as we have started to put pen to paper to write Mrs Lawson our letter. We hope that by the end of this she will agree to let us host a Space afternoon to celebrate our learning - after all, our reasons are so persuasive I think she would struggle to say no! As and when we get our response, we will be sure to keep you up to date with this!
Check back next week to see how our week has gone!
