Welcoming back the class after a lovely Christmas break, I am almost certain they have grown yet again! I am now struggling to contend with them all!
The start of a new term marks the start of some interesting new content that we will cover! We will delve into further basic operations and fractions in maths, before shifting to Literacy where we will explore Myths and Legends and even some riddle work!
In our Science this term we will explore Living Things and their Habitats, where we will partake in a nature reserve classification hunt amongst other things! We will then dip into looking at animal food webs and food chains to understand why all animals are important!
During our topic sessions we will explore the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings! The children are very much excited at the thought of this and can't wait to find out what life was like back then!
With so much to look forward to, I almost forgot to say what a fantastic first week back we have had! We have started some preliminary investigations into the Anglo Saxons to help us with some Myth writing next week.
We have also began looking at division using a formal written method which the children are working so hard on!
Keep up the good work Team CB!
