Today, Team CH have been looking at pictorial contexts where the whole group is divided into two. We started by writing the two parts we could see then writing add in-between the two parts. This is known as an expression. Next, we practiced using cubes to show an expression and talked a lot about parts that we can be added together are called addends. Finally, we explored how addends can be moved around and continued to write expressions.
