This week in math's we have been practicing rounding to the nearest ten. As we focus on numbers 0-100, we zoned in on multiples of ten and looked at vocabulary such as, between, previous and next. First, we encouraged children to identify what multiples of ten a person lives between, then an object and finally a number. As we continued to explore the previous and next multiple of tens, we removed the tens from out number line and found the previous and next multiples of ten without the visual help. Finally, we played a game using dice to show our understanding of which multiples of ten numbers sit between on a number line.
