Today children have been focussing on partitioning even numbers. We discovered that unlike off numbers, even numbers cannot be partitioned into an odd part and an even part. We practiced partitioning the even numbers 2,4,6,8 and 10 into two even parts and two odd parts. While practicing this skill we always check if our parts were odd or even and explained how we knew this.
