Maths

This week, we have continued learning about place value. We have secured our understanding of partitioning a number one way and we have been working on partitioning two or more ways. Having a secure understanding of tens and ones and part whole models, has allowed us to begin to add two two-digit numbers by drawing pictorial representations and counting the total. Next week, we are building on our understanding by finding missing numbers in part whole models. 

Literacy 

In literacy, we have continued our learning about the story Monkey Puzzle. We created Monkey Puzzle character masks and worked in groups to create a drama performance. We worked hard to develop our speaking and listening skills and performed our drama pieces to the class. Having a secure understanding of the story, will support us when completing our Monkey Puzzle story boards.
