On our first Friday together in Incredible Us time. We had a go using our fine motor skills doing Origimai!
Origami builds our critical fine motor skills and spatial awareness as we use both hands to transform flat sheets of paper into three-dimensional shapes. By precisely aligning edges and pressing crisp creases, helping us develop the finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination needed for writing and everyday tasks. Furthermore, following step-by-step folding diagrams teaches them procedural logic, patience, and sequential problem-solving, while naturally introducing foundational math concepts like symmetry, fractions, and geometry. We really enjoyed working together to create our very own bookmarks to be proud of!
