Today we celebrate the coronation of King Charles III as a whole school. We watched a video in assembly that taught us all about the coronation and what it involves. In Art with Mrs Fitchett we drew portraits of King Charles himself! We loved dressing up as the colours of our Union Flag. We looked fabulous in our crowns we made at home. We enjoyed our Coronation celebration lunch in the hall. We wrote about what the word "King" means to us and lots of us wrote that to be a king you need to be kind and helpful. Our Year 1's were challenged to write a letter to King Charles to inform him how we had been celebrating his coronation! Team CW joined us for a photo in the shape of "KCIII" which you should also receive on the whole school weekly newsletter from Mrs Lawson. Team EO have worked hard to learn the Makaton signs to 'God Save the King'. Here we are performing it!
