The children had the challenge of predicting which soil type would be the best soil to use when designing a garden. They had the choice of the following soil;
The children were incredible. They listened really well during the health and safety talk before becoming familiar with the two pools. They carried out a few tasks so that the swimming coaches could carry out a quick baseline assessment. During the session, some of the children were asked to complete a task to swim across the pool. During this task the teachers were observing if the children could use the correct breast stroke technique with strong arms and turned out toes. All the staff were so proud of how well the children worked. Keep it up Team GG.
The children tested different mark making techniques before designing and making their own clay pot for the Stone Age to Iron Age period. They applied their skills of moudling clay before selecting the correct tools to add their design. The following week, they chose the correct colours to paint their pot. Before they chose the colours they had a discussion about the colours would be from natural object.
