Topics covered throughout the year

Autumn Term (with the focus of geography)
During the autumn term we will be exploring South America, where we will be finding out more about Brazil, the Amazon Rainforest as well as the special carnivals that take place.  We will also be working with Mrs Fitchett on designing and making some amazing piece of art linked to our topic.
Spring Term (with the focus of history)
During the spring term we will be learning about what life was like during the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. From there will be be developing our knoweldge of the Romans and Boudicca and how the Romans have impacted on our lives today.

Summer Term (with the focus of Science)
During the summer term we will be finding out more about life 'Under Water' and rock pools through our science theme.  Through this topic we will be developing our knowledge on the habitats, what living organisms are there and how this environment is different to others . Last year we went to The Deep to develop our learning further and use this as a stimulus for our learning. The children absolutely enjoyed every minute there so hopefully this trip will take place again this year.
I am looking forward to the amazing time and learning that will be taking place this year as they are working incredibly hard and have a brilliant attitude towards learning.
