We have been observing shadows over time.
We asked the question - Does the path of the sun affect the position of a shadow? We explored our prediction, equipment and method. We then went out on a sunny day to highlight the shadow of a piece equipment on the floor at 9am, we then went out and observed the shadow at midday and at the end of the school day. We recorded our results on a table and filled in our conclusions. Most of us predicted that the shadow would be longer in the morning and getter over the day. As the sun moves across the sky, the shadow will move too. We see a shadow when your body blocks the sunlight. The shadow position will change based on the Sun's position in the sky.
