This week we have been planning and writing letters to our new teachers. We have written about our interests at school and at home. The children have worked so hard, their handwriting has been beautiful.

In maths we have been consolidating our knowledge of money, we opened the Team JF shop and bought lots of items, we started by paying with the correct amount and then we moved onto paying with £1 and giving change. They were amazing at this, well done Team JF.

In art we looked at some of the photo's from our school trip to Cleethorpes to jog our memories. We then thought about what we enjoyed the most and started to draw this in lots of detail. The art work we produced was brilliant, we even won awards in assembly for our art work. Well done!

This week in PE, we have worked really hard. We have been practicing for sports day on the 10th July. The children have had so much fun and have been brilliant at cheering our team members on. GO TEAM!

In science we have been exploring where plants would grow best, the field or the nature reserve, after looking we decided the field was the best place. We have then looked at micro habitats and designed some our selves. 

As part of our science learning, Team JF visited Cleethorpes to gain a better understanding of plant and animals at the seaside. To begin with we walked along the sea front to spot as many different plants and animals as we could. From this, we went onto the beach to collect and observe the shells. The children were absolutely incredible and of course we had to make time for some fun on the sand too! 

After lunch, we continued walking to explore our surroundings and as the sun made an appearance, we just had to stop for a tasty ice cream! 

The children were a true credit to Park Street. They listened to all instructions, carried out them out sensibly and stayed together as a team. I was so proud of them, what little superstars!
