Literacy

This week Team JF have been on a sensory walk around school to inspire our writing. We recorded in different areas of the school what we could see, hear, feel and smell. From this we developed our collection of words into fantastic descriptions!
The children have worked really hard this week and I am very proud of what they have achieved so far.

Maths
This week the Truthful,Tropical Tribe have been continuing work around place value, in particular 1,10 and 100 more or less than a number. We have worked extremely hard to develop our reasoning skills in order to explain how we solved our problem. We have worked in groups to solve different problems using the mastery steps of 'show it', 'draw it', 'explain it' and 'prove it'. When the children had reached their answers they were able to present it to the rest of the class.
