Today we have been investigating what a texture is and how we discover the texture of an item. We spoke about also on occasion, being able to know the texture of something by looking at it.
We discussing different textures and children came up with some amazing words to describe different textures...cold, slippy, spikey, furry, fluffy, hot, hard, soft, sticky, bumpy, rough. We loooked at examples of textures in the world around us and talked about the importance of certain items being certain textures. We then went to Welly Walk and looked for different items of varying textures to feel and discuss.
