Plenty of free resources available for anyone impacted by the COVID 19 school closures you say? That's right, Literacy Trust are always finding new ways to support learners. The Family Zone is packed full of fun things to make and do, amazing resources to listen and watch and a whole host of app and website recommendations to try during the current situation. His fantastic ability to create stories which engross, captivate and leave young readers wanting more, is simply undeniable. Why not check out the following link, it offers parents excellent guides to support their understanding of Read, Write, Inc as well as ebooks, green word slide shows and phonics practice sheets.

We are delighted that the Read Write Inc. team have announced that they will be doing live speedy sounds phonics sessions. These are available to stream on YouTube using the following link:

They're also releasing a film of a poem for Reception and Year 1 children to join in with at 2.00 pm every day. The poems will be available on YouTube to watch again and again. This will be a fantastic opportunity for your child to continue to develop their knowledge of sounds and also use the sound cards sent home in your child's home learning pack!
