Autumn 1 in Team AC

​This half term, Team AC have been working really hard to develop their skills in writing. We have focussed on poetry and have created our own poems linked to the theme of Autumn. We spent time reading various poems looking at the structure of each. We discussed adjectives, nouns, verbs and adverbs and how these are used effectively to give detail and create imagery for the reader. We will further develop these ideas by introducing similes, alliteration and onomatopoeia as we look at other seasonal type poems for Halloween and Bonfire Night.
