Autumn 2 in Team CH

This half term, Team CH have been continuing to develop and acquire new skills linked to writing. Over the course of Autumn 2, we have looked closely at both fiction and non-fiction texts. We have written a set of instructions to help give the younger children in our school clear directions of how to wash their hands. We thought carefully about the vocabulary needed for our writing and have explored and began to use imperative verbs, time adverbials and interrogative words.  We have also worked on our understanding of conjunctions and how we can use ‘because’ to join two clauses together. In addition to this, we have also explored the personality of the Highway Rat and introduced some ambitious adjectives into our writing. Team CH have enjoyed exploring new vocabulary to write a character description.
