Striving to support spelling

Spelling has a significant emphasis in the revised National Curriculum. The need for children to apply correct spelling patterns and rules to their writing has never been more clear. With that said, at Wombwell Park Street Primary School, we aim to support our learners in any way we can in order to achieve this goal. As such we have spent time refining our classrooms to ensure they are full of vocabulary to reinforce spelling patterns. This include words which are relevant to the Year Group expectations displayed clearly around the classroom, as well as homophone displays and individual spelling packs for children to refer to in daily learning.
