Hello, welcome to our class page, we are Team CB. Here is our class agreement: 
​
In Team CB we will start each day with a smile and be ready, reliable and resilient when it is time for learning. We will always show respect to each other and the adults in the classroom by listening to instructions and following Team STOP. We will work as a team and make sure nobody is ever left behind. We promise to always be helpful and supportive and make sure the class all work together to keep our classroom nice and tidy. Being kind and caring towards others is important to us and we will always try to be a good friend and be there for each other—helping them up when they fall. We will make sure we have kind hands, kind feet and kind actions. Taking the time to listen to others is something we will work hard on by not shouting and carefully listening to the words people want to share. We will use our manners when speaking with others at all times.
 


Meet Our Team

Miss Baxter

My name is Miss Baxter, class teacher for Year 3. I have spent the last eight years at Wombwell Park Street and have loved every minute of it. Currently, I am KS2 Literacy Lead and Junior Reading Lead.

I am very excited to be working with such a fantastic group of children this year, and I hope to bring some exciting opportunities to the classroom.. My goal is to see children fully engaged and immersed in their learning to allow each and every child to reach their full potential.

I enjoy teaching all curriculum areas but I most enjoy creating awe and wonder in the
classroom through a compelling Literacy focus. I aim to share such experiences with the children throughout the upcoming year as we work together to create many wonderfully imaginative pieces of writing.

Outside of school, I enjoy time with my family, including my two little boys Beau and Arlo! I love going on adventures to share new experiences with the children. If we aren't out exploring, chances are I’m cooking some tasty treats to eat!
 

Miss Hanson
Mrs Antcliffe
 Hi my name is Miss Hanson and I am the Teaching Assistant in Team CB on Mondays and Fridays. I have been teaching at Park Street now for several years and love spending time with the children. It is great to see them master new skills and do their best in learning. When I am not at school I love to spend time with my family. 
 Hello I am Mrs Antcliffe and I am the Teaching Assistant in Team CB on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I spent time in Park Street last year supporting the children and was lucky enough to be successful in applying to work with the children of Park Street full time this year. I am so excited to be part of the team and watch everyone learn and grow.  When I am not at school I love to spend time with my family

What will our learning journey look like?

We will embark on a historical journey to begin the autumn term, learning more about the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages. Our primary focus in history this term will be on travel and technology. We will explore the chronology of these eras as well as learning about the structure of society and how this developed through farming, craft and trade. We will then explore the Roman invasion and learn more about Boudicca and what was happening around the time she was alive.

In the Spring Term, we will explore our Geography unit which focuses on locating and exploring the physical geography of rivers and mountains locally, nationally and internationally. The use of maps, atlases and multimedia technology will be incorporated and the children will begin to learn about the water-cycle.

During the Summer Term, we will recognise that living things can be grouped in a variety of ways through exploring and using classification keys to help group, identify and name a variety of living things in their local and wider environment. Our focus is predominantly based on sea life and the harmful effects of pollution.

Monday - New spellings set
Tuesday - Outdoor PE.
Thursday - Indoor PE.
Friday - Previous week's homework due and new homework distributed.
Spelling test. 
​Weekly tables race.


Please note that Team CB has set PE days. However, occasionally due to busy timetables and changes in weather conditions, these times may be flexible. We politely request that PE kits are brought to school on a Monday and taken home for washing on a Friday
