Meet Our Team

Miss Groves

My name is Miss Groves, and I have the pleasure of teaching Team SG. This is my second year at Park Street, and I am thrilled to work with such a fantastic class and team. I’m eager to support Team SG on their learning journey and excited to watch each student grow throughout the year.
My favorite subjects to teach are math, science, and history, and I also enjoy reading and crafting. In my free time, I like going for walks, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
My goal is to create a classroom where everyone feels safe, confident, and happy.

Miss Clarke

Hi my name is Miss Clarke. I have lots of experience working with all year groups throughout school. This year I have the pleasure of supporting our children in Team SG. Exciting for me to see how much they have grown and progressed since I supported most of them a few years ago in Reception. I am looking forward to seeing how much more they are going to achieve this academic year. In my spare time, you'll usually find me in the gym, out walking or socialising with friends. ​

What we learn about in Team SG

Autumn 1 - Exploring Europe
What countries make up Europe?
What are the capital cities?
What different climates are there?
How can we compare the UK and other European countries?
Autumn 2/Spring 1 -  Ancient Greeks
As part of our history focus, we will explore the Ancient Greeks and their culture and beliefs.
Spring term 1 - Anglo Saxons and the Vikings
In the Spring Term, we will be learning about the intriguing history of The Anglo Saxons and Vikings whilst developing further our knowledge and understanding of British History.
Summer - The solar system
In the Summer Term, we will learn all about the mesmerising vastness of space as well as what lies beyond the Earth’s solar system!
The fun doesn’t end here though, as Y4's will also be learning how to play the Ukulele this year!

With an exciting and action-packed year ahead, I’m eager to embark on a journey filled with learning and creative opportunities for the children to showcase their progress. Be sure to stay tuned for updates and photos on the blog to see how Team SG is getting on!

Monday - PE
Wednesday - Ukulele practice and PE
Thursday- Spelling homework back in/sent out
Friday - Homework due, New homework distributed 

‘Please note that Team SG has set PE days. However, occasionally due to busy timetables and changes in weather conditions, these times may be flexible. We politely request that PE kits are brought to school on a Monday and taken home for washing on a Friday, thank you.’
