We have been working on ways for our children to extend their sentences when writing, we have been doing this by using co-ordinating conjunctions, see below. Theses are seven words that help connect information in a sentence. We have also started to look at Subordinating conjunctions that join two clauses together for example: "He was annoyed, the train had stopped." "He was annoyed because the train had stopped." Team AC are starting to really understand using these words and will be able to really bring their writing to a higher level. Information below, this is useful if children are writers at home.
