In Team AC children were asked what they understood about the word ‘bullying’. We discussed their ideas about what bullying is and what it isn’t. They talked about what we could do to make sure that didn’t happen at our school but also what we should do if we feel it is happening to us. They thought about what someone who is being bullied might feel like. They decided it was always best to tell a trusted person so that it could be sorted out to take the worry away. To start the week the children wore their odd socks as a way of recognising that we are all different but we have things that we share too. We focused on the idea of kindness and how we could all be kind to one another. The children shared their ideas and wrote them on circles to create our own class pair of kindness ‘odd socks’!
