Today we have been learning about the butterfly's wings. We looked at some different pictures and used the words: colourful, bright, beautiful and patterns to describe them. Then we noticed that the wings had the same pattern on both sides and we learnt the word "symmetrical" to describe this. In the creative area, we all had a go at printing our own butterfly. The children learnt to paint their own colourful pattern on one wing and then carefully fold it down. When they opened it out, they noticed that the wings were symmetrical!
