For our baking activity today, we decorated our own bun with chocolate. First we talked about the chocolate and how it felt hard. We also discussed how to make it runny so it could be spread onto the bun. Some children had the clever idea of melting it and we used the microwave. Then the children used a spoon to carefully pour and then spread the melted chocolate onto their bun- great for their fine motor skills. We left the buns until hometime and then we noticed that the chocolate had set and gone hard again- we have some budding Scientists in our nursery!
