Literacy
Over the past couple of weeks Team JF have been working incredibly hard to consolidate their transcription skills. To begin with we focused on what good sentences should look like and worked on pour letter formation. From this, we moved into using full stops, finger spaces and capital letters. This week, we have started a new unit of learning based upon the book 'Gorilla'. We have read the book several times and incorporated drama into our literacy to freeze frame scenes from the story. As the week progressed, we moved into retelling the story and creating our very own story boards! These are absolutely fantastic and the children are very proud of what they have produced! Art This term Team JF have started our new unit of learning 'weather around the world', linked with our geography/science. To begin with we discussed and explored the four seasons, comparing real weather images with depictions of weather in art. From this, we started to think about the colours we may use to represent different weather types such as warm and cold colours.
