Maths
During the week we have focused on the difference between perimeter and area. We learnt that perimeter means the distance around the edge of a shape, whereas area means the amount of surface covered by a shape. We started off by working out the perimeter and area where all measurements are given before looking at shapes with missing measurements. This is something we will be continuing with next week. Literacy Following a lesson on improving and editing our letters, we spent time publishing our writing. Our letters will now be checked over by our team leaders before being sent to Mrs Lawson. Towards the end of the week we began to look at prefixes, particularly 'de', 'dis', 're', 'mis' and 'over'. We looked at the prefix meanings and how the use a prefix changes the meaning of the word.
