Morning Activity Club
We offer a before school club called 'Morning Activity Club'.  This runs from 8.00am until school starts at 8.35am.   At 8.35am staff take the children down to classes, to start their day.

This club proves very popular and booking is essential!  Please give staff at least 24 hours notice, if you wish for your child to attend - preferably the Friday before the week you need the cover.

The cost is £1.75 per day, per child (with an incentive of the reduced price of £8 if the full week is booked in advance).  This will be the new price in September 2017.  It is organised, managed and led by Mrs Godany, who is supported by other Teaching Assistants in school.  They provide fun learning opportunities in reading, art, writing and sports.  In good weather, the children often get to play and learn down in the Courts with Mr Smith or access our school's popular Nature Reserve!  This is a really great resource for parents and children alike.  The children love coming and for working parents, it means that they can start their working day a little earlier, knowing their children are safe at school, having fun!

We ask that parents drop their children off (the barrier on the drive is programmed to rise between 7.50-8.05am, giving parents better access to the top of the drive).  Once at the top of the drive, parents can park up and nip their children in to pay and drop off.  The Club takes place in our main school hall, where staff will be waiting!

All you need to do is let school know and they will place your child's name on the list (space permitting), or let staff know in a morning if you need any future dates.  Please book in any future dates on the Friday before the week you need them, to secure places and allow leaders to plan staffing.

We ask that children are NOT in school much before 8am, because there is no insurance to permit children on site before this time.  We also ask that you give school at least 24 hours notice, for staffing reasons.  Please note that failure to pay may well result in your child not being able to access this provision.

Kidz Club
Do you struggle with working and picking your kids up on time?  Then maybe we can help!

The 'Kidz Club' at Park Street provides after school care from 3.15pm to 5.45pm and is open to all of the children of Park Street School. The club collects children from their class and provides a wide range of activities to keep them entertained until parents/guardians pick them up at the school.  The club offers a choice of sessions to meet the needs of the parents and children e.g.
3.15pm – 5.45pm       £8 (includes healthy snack)
3.15pm – 4.15pm       £3.50 (includes pick up from school)
4.30pm – 5.45pm      £4.50 (includes pick up from school club and healthy snack)
NB: these are the new revised prices/contract from 18.9.17.

If you have need of after school care whether this be a ‘one off’ or regular support then we have the answer for you.  The Kidz Club provides a fun and safe environment for children who are supervised by qualified school staff.
The above photographs show all the fun and exciting activities happening in our Kidz Club.
If you are interested and would like more information then give us a call on 01226 752029 or call into the office for an information pack.

The Club is organised and managed by Mrs Stevens, but also Miss Hodgson and Mrs Ireland work in there too.  This is a huge resource which the school has and values deeply as we honestly believe this supports children and their wider families.  The children love it and parents often struggle to get the children away from it, they love it that much!

Once again this is a very popular resource so please always ensure that you book your child in at least 24 hours before hand, for staffing and catering reasons.  Please note that failure to pay may well result in your child not being able to access this provision.  Please always ensure that your child is picked up by 5.45pm at the LATEST; school closes the doors at 6pm promptly (not by teaching and support staff).

After School Clubs
We offer a wide range of extra curricular activities during the year as a direct result of annual consultation with the children to ensure that we are meeting their needs and interests, as well as listening to the views of parents.   Some examples of our ever-changing offer are outlined below:
  • Choir and Percussion clubs extend learning in music;
  • Craft and Art clubs promote creative development;
  • PE and Sports clubs (cricket, football, dance etc.) not only promote physical well-being but sportsmanship and teamwork.
These activities enrich the children’s lives by providing them with the opportunity of learning new skills, including teamwork.
