Mr Fidment

Class Teacher and Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion)
Hello and welcome to our class page. I am Mr Fidment, Team AF's Class Teacher, as well as Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at Park Street.. TI absolutely love teaching at Park Street and I am passionate about developing an environment the is built upon positive relationships.  I am very excited to be working with a fantastic group of children. As any child in school will tell you, I love teaching others about the brain and how this impacts and develops our emotions. When I’m not at school I love to spend my time my dog (Sumo), go skiing and train Army Cadets!

Key events in Team AF

Spelling test - Each child will have their spelling test on a Wednesday
PE - Tuesday and Wednesday
Reading Stamps Collected - Friday
Weekly Arithmetic Test - Friday
Homework -Friday

Please note that Team AF has set PE days. However, occasionally due to busy timetables and changes in weather conditions, these times may be flexible. We politely request that PE kits are brought to school on a Monday and taken home for washing on a Friday.

What do we learn about in Team AF?



​Whilst learning we aim to have as much fun as possible. We have three integrated curriculum projects over the year - Exploring Extreme Earth - Why is the Earth So Extreme? (Geography), Life in the Past - Who were the Ancient Egyptians? ( a historical focus)  and The Science of Food - Does Chocolate Grow on Trees? (Science and Cookery) . The children are involved in planning their own project work and use ICT widely to extend their learning. An example of this is a team work project studying Christmas Around the World
